This week the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (Boletín Oficial de la Región de Murcia “BORM”) has published new restrictive measures in accordance with the rapid increase of COVID cases in the last few days.
The region goes backs to high alert phase 2 level with extreme infection risk from 20th January and free mobility along with the entry and exit of municipalities is prohibited except for the municipalities of Aledo and Librilla other than for essential and strictly justified reasons.
In view of the serious evolution of the epidemic in the region, evidenced by current epidemiological and healthcare figures, mass events throughout the Region of Murcia are suspended. It is also established that all commercial activity and the provision of services that are carried out in person must close their premises and establishments for face-to-face service at 8:00 p.m., being able to develop its activity only through delivery services address and collection at the premises upon prior request, except for food establishments, certain dining services and educational and training centers that may remain open until the time of the crew restrictions.
The specific limitations for the closure and suspension of activity carried out in day centers for the elderly and disabled people is maintained, as well as the suspension of visits in the residences and sheltered apartments of these groups.
Finally, we would like to remind you of some of the most important measures that are still in force in the Region:
Regional perimeter closed.
Curfew from 22 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Mandatory use of a face mask in public areas.
Prohibition of social interactions between people who do not live together.
Bars and restaurants remain completely closed in municipalities classified as an extreme risk. Only a take-away service is allowed.
Occupancy is limited to 50% in vehicles and shops.
